Common bulbul

One of the birds that thrashes invisibly around in our trees—but occasionally comes out for viewing—is the common bulbul. I saw one (not the one pictured, which is a photo by Tom Tarrant, courtesy of Wikipedia Commons) atop the tree next door, and it sang a little. Here’s what it sounded like, from our fourth floor deck:
